Dr. Simon received his undergraduate degree in Animal Science from Louisiana Tech University in 2010. He then graduated from Louisiana State University-School of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. Dr. Simon grew up in South Louisiana spending summers around all types of animals at his grandparents' farm. After veterinary school, Dr. Simon completed an internship at Blue Ridge Equine in Earlysville, VA. Ever since his time in Virginia, Dr. Simon has wanted to move back to this part of the country.

He is happy to be joining the Raleigh Community Animal Hospital team in June of 2022. His professional interests include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and wound repair. He has two dogs, Arya (his first surgery patient in vet school) and Finnegan (a goofball blue merle sheltie). They enjoy outdoor activities including running, hiking, and going to the beach or mountains.
